G10 Fighting Knife
# FX-597XT
The Dart Tanto is a collaborative design by Doug Marcaida and Lad Mandiola in partnership with Fox Knives Italy.
This karambit-style knife has its origins in the Indonesian archipelago, with historical roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. Historically used as a working tool and pocket knife, its use dates back to the 11th century. Although the karambit is said to have been "introduced" to the U.S. in the late 19th century, its official rise in popularity came during the mid-20th century. Its recognition as a martial arts weapon, especially in disciplines such as Silat Penack from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Filipino Bursilat Kali, surged between the 1970s and 1980s.
The karambit is a versatile tool, functioning as a utility knife, a martial arts weapon, and, if needed, a self-defense tool. A clip is integrated on the back of the handle for convenient carrying.
